Range Communications proudly turned 10 years old last month, and as part of their Tin Anniversary celebrations they held a competition, with a tin full of wine and beer as the main prize.

Matt Prince, Business Development Manager at Foremost Security won the bucket of booze!

Angela Richardson, MD of Range, presented him with the booty at a recent 4N Nottingham networking meeting, and it was great chance to catch up with Matt and find out more about how Range are saving him some serious money on his business mobiles and vehicle fleet tracking.

Currently, Range supplies Foremost Security with 22 mobile phones to staff at HQ and on-site, along with vehicle tracking for 4 vehicles. Matt loves the service, flexibility and reliability that Range deliver: “They’re always available, and always keep things running smoothly. One phone call always does the trick – if we need phones we can ring and have them ready the next day. Knowing you have someone at the end of the phone to help straightaway if phones are damaged is great and makes it so easy.”

Mobiles are an integral part of what Foremost do; with 115 security officers working on-site and at various times around the clock, Foremost need know where everyone is and ensure that they can make contact and be contacted in an instant. Range also provide phones for management as well as officers, and we’ve been able to get to know the business and supply them with the appropriate phones and suppliers to match individual requirements, delivering value and improving efficiency in the process.

Geometric vehicle monitoring

foremost vehicles tracked4 of Foremost’s vehicles now have state-of-the-art geometric vehicle tracking which is a great boost to customer confidence. Matt continues: “In the past, our mobile patrols worked with physical checkpoints to enable us to see where they were at any one time. They were tricky to manage and maintain – they were often vandalised and torn down from walls, and they were expensive to run too. Now, our Range geometric monitoring enables us to pull off simple reports with ease, showing where our vehicles are and where they’ve been.”

And it wasn’t just a tin of booze that Matt won from us either: we managed to win him some serious savings when he switched his mobiles with us from Vodafone to O2 recently! Following the switch, a £2000 bill (75% more than it should have been!) was issued due to Foremost staff mistakenly ringing a premium number. Range successfully campaigned to get Foremost their money back, and won!
