Security Case Study – Confetti Media

Confetti Media, a specialist creative industry education and training centre based in Nottingham, have recently appointed Foremost Security as their security provider.

John Allcoat, the Estates Manager at Confetti, has been with the company for 13 years. Unfortunately, after their previous security provider failed to meet their duties, it fell upon John to respond to any alarm activations and call outs.

John was responding between 2 and 10 callouts a month – a frustration for any employee, and not a job that can be taken lightly.

The team first started working with our ‘Security Guarding’ service, at another of their sites, where a guard operates on site from 7 in the morning until 8 in the evening. After the issues that Confetti were encountering with alarm response, they then decided to employ us to also work as their keyholding and response team.

They saved us a lot of hassle. It was great to have someone else to take the reins. I only then need to be contacted in an actual emergency. We were having so many false activations and callouts, whether it was part of the kit failing or members of staff failing to set the alarm correctly.”- John Allcoat, Confetti Media.

Confetti encountered an issue over the Christmas period, with a flood on one of their sites. Luckily, one of the team who was on a routine patrol, spotted the problem and attended to the situation. He was able to stay on site for three and a half hours, and was there to greet the plumber when he turned up.

John said: “The guy was brilliant with how he dealt with it and kept me informed. I found it really helpful and professional. It saved me having to leave and come down on site – he liaised with me throughout the whole thing.

Although the Foremost Security team have only been working with Confetti for a short while, John has already recommended us to another of their sites in Colwick.

John says: “It’s great to be able to hand my previous responsibilities over to Foremost, and for them to be able to do so in a professional manner. They really saved us over Christmas and they dealt with it brilliantly. We’ve been impressed!
