Here at Foremost Security we are proud to announce that we are the official shirt sponsor of Shardlow St James Veterans Football Club.
Established in 1880, Shardlow St James Veterans football club is one of the oldest amateur football teams in the country. Working hard to develop players through regular training and tournaments, this season sees the club offer players a first team, reserves, veterans and U14 side all competing competitively.
The sponsorship of Shardlow St James Veterans Football Club comes as part of our ongoing commitment to building relationships with local businesses and supporting the local community. In the sporting industry, it is massively acknowledged that local sponsorship deals are highly beneficial to teams, with all sponsor investments going back into the club.
Our Sales and Marketing Director, Matt Prince, at Foremost Security is a long-time player and supporter of Shardlow St James. Matt first started playing football aged 17 and has reflected on how the team’s morale and a fans experience can be boosted with the likes of a new, sponsored kit. From this, he recognises the importance of supporting local football teams, a pledge which these days is becoming increasingly hard to find. Matt also believes that if a business is able to provide some sort of support to local teams then there is the potential for them to become successful and sustainable.
Our sponsorship will see the supporting of Shardlow St James Veterans for the upcoming 2019/2020 and 2020/21 seasons. This season has already begun, seeing Shardlow St James Veterans draw 1-1 against Holbrook Sports with Matt Prince himself scoring. The second match saw them win 4-1 against Castle Donington.
