SIA Licences and change of address

Posted by:

On a recent SIA inspection visit to towns in Wales, 15 venues were visited with 37 individuals inspected – 36 people held a valid SIA licence and one unlicensed door supervisor was found In addition to the prosecution of the unlicensed individual, “Three people were issued with warnings for failing to notify the SIA of a change of their address.”

This serves as a reminder to those of us working in the security industry that, even though our licenses are valid, it is a condition of the license that the SIA are notified of any change of address. In order to do this, we have to send a piece of official documentation, such as a bank statement or utility bill containing the new address, with a letter giving your name and license number to the SIA.
